Moira Dela Torre Brings Her New Album I’m Okay to the Big Screen

Moira Dela Torre is back with her most personal project yet—her latest album, I’m Okay, marking her long-awaited return to the music scene. After two and a half years of careful crafting, the 12-track album dives deep into themes of resilience, emotional healing, and self-discovery.

Blending eight English songs with four in Tagalog, I’m Okay reflects the highs and lows of navigating life’s unexpected turns. The title track, “I’m Okay,” is a raw and moving anthem about pushing through life's challenges and finding comfort in shared experiences. Moira's signature heartfelt storytelling resonates deeply, offering listeners a sense of companionship in their own struggles.

In a groundbreaking move, Moira took her new album beyond streaming platforms and straight to cinemas. To celebrate the release, an exclusive cinematic trailer for I’m Okay played in select theaters during the 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF). From December 25 to 31, moviegoers at venues like Glorietta 4, Market! Market!, and TriNoma experienced a visual and emotional preview of the album before their chosen films. This marks the first time a Filipino artist has promoted an album in movie theaters, transforming the listening experience into an immersive storytelling journey.

The album unfolds like a diary, with tracks such as “Under The Bathroom Sink,” “Ghosts,” “Bandaid,” and “Dinggin” offering intimate reflections on heartbreak, healing, and hope. Moira describes I’m Okay as a labor of love, crafted during a period of profound personal growth. Each song reveals a piece of her journey—from emotional reckoning to acceptance and strength.

“This album is a reflection of the seasons I’ve been through—the heartbreaks, the healing, and the unexpected turns,” Moira shares. “It’s a reminder that even when things feel uncertain, we can still find beauty and strength in the process.”

The cinematic trailer echoes the album’s emotional depth, bringing Moira's music to life on the silver screen with the same care and authenticity that defines her artistry. Fans and new listeners alike are invited to experience her songs in a whole new way, bridging the gap between music and visual storytelling.

Through I’m Okay and its innovative rollout, Moira continues to redefine how music is shared and experienced. The album is now available on all major streaming platforms, including Spotify and Apple Music, while the cinematic trailer offers a poignant reminder that healing is a journey best shared.

With I’m Okay, Moira Dela Torre once again proves that vulnerability is a strength, and that music has the power to bring light to even the darkest moments.
