MilkLove 1st Fanmeeting in Manila

The way audience consume media has definitely evolved through the years. The way we all started from conventional TV to cable to online platforms, surely, there's now plenty of ways to find entertainment. And with this, the kind of programs and shows we enjoy have likewise been diversified as well. The past few years, BL (Boys Love) has been making waves and Thailand has produced the chunk of these shows. Thai production company, GMMTV, is arguably on top of the BL game having produced close to a hundred series in a span of just a few years. It's forthcoming then that the next step would be to get into the latest craze for the past couple of years: GL or Girls Love.

GMMTV's foray into the GL market is with the series "23.5" starring Milk Pansa and Love Pattranite, or better known for their ship name, MilkLove. "23.5" revolves around high school transfer student Ongsa (Milk) who fell for the popular girl in school, Sun (Love). But Ongsa decided to befriend Sun behind the person under the pseudonym "Earth". And therein lies all the complexities of the series.

This won't be the first time MilkLove had been paired. In 2021, they played a side couple in the GMMTV BL series "Bad Buddy" as Ink (Milk) and Pa (Love).

Although the characters of Ink and Pa were more of a small side story, they caught significant attention. Thus, the characters of Ink and Pa were revived as part of the short anthology series, "Magic of Zero" the following year.

While it took 2 more years for MilkLove to be paired onscreen again, it was well worth the wait as this time around, they are already the main stars of their own series. And "23.5" was likewise groundbreaking as it was the first GL series to be aired on streaming platform, Netflix. For the 12 weeks that it aired, it consistently trended worldwide. Last May, the series successfully wrapped up with a sold-out fanmeeting in Thailand. In June, they also held successful fanmeetings in Hong Kong and Taiwan. Moreover, they took part in GMMTV Fanday 12 in Japan last June 29-30.

And soon, it will be the turn of Filo Muvmuvs (as their fandom is called) as CDM Entertainment brings us "MilkLove 1st Fanmeeting in Manila". The event will take place on July 20, 2024 at Skydome in SM North EDSA. Tickets are still available via SM Tickets outlets and smtickets.com.
